LIFE SCIENCE

To AI or not to AI? That is the question.

Implementing an Artificial Intelligence Feasibility Study

Client Objective

Perchance to dream of better analysis. A life sciences research and development organization was interested in assessing the effectiveness of its current product evaluation tool and exploring the feasibility of using artificial intelligence (AI). They dreamt of improved speed, accuracy, and decision-making.

Unique Challenge

Doubt thou out-of-the-box solution. The organization was using a third-party solution to quantify product performance, and they were unsure of the accuracy of the results. But was a custom machine learning (ML) model the answer they were looking for? Leadership wanted to understand current gaps and what feasibility layeth ahead.

Bespoke Solution

Avenge thy inefficiency. Unify worked with business stakeholders to identify analytic objectives and set goals for quantitative analysis. Unify designed and implemented a feasibility study framework and delivered a proof of concept for an artificial intelligence-based analytics model with advanced analysis reports and visualizations. Unify assessed the feasibility and proved the ML model would outperform the out-of-the-box solution.

Proven Impact

From tragedy to triumph. With the new ML prototype showing its value, Unify created a roadmap for solving critical business challenges. The upfront investment needed to build an ML model was quantified and leadership was ready to make the change to an artificial intelligence-backed approach. Improved analysis and decision making is how this story will come to its rightful end.
