Billion-dollar blitz. A large electric energy company was spending billions of dollars on service contracts. Their current approach utilized outdated technology and processes. They needed to score a new technology solution that standardized practices for internal and external participants.

Too many players. This enterprise-wide initiative was going to impact over 2500+ internal users and 5000+ service vendors. With so many people being affected, the team knew they had to do it strategically, or else they’d fumble. A phased approach that analyzed stakeholder impacts and communication would be critical.

Strategy game on. To ensure all would go smoothly, the Unify team developed a stakeholder and organization risk analysis. As well as a change impact analysis. The Unifiers made sure a communication strategy and plan were in place so the over 7500+ people impacted would understand the changes. Of course, the most vital communication had to start at the top. So, the Unifiers also created a Leader Engagement Strategy and Plan.
Proven Impact
Communication champions. The project is still in play. However early indicators included results of a Change Readiness Survey delivered following the initial Project Info messaging campaign shows the communication plan is working. The team shared road shows and presentations at every senior leader staff meeting. Over 97% of internal AEP stakeholders are aware award of the project and are impact ready.
