Finding their grip. A multinational chain of coffeehouses was still experiencing decreased sales in its stores due to COVID-19. But the company recognized an opportunity to capture increased sales via the drive-thru channel. They just weren’t sure how to take the next tricky step.

New terrain. With so many stores, their footprint was large. They wanted assurance they weren’t going to slip. The executive team needed a proof of concept and model before they took on the ascent of the large deployment to stores.
Bespoke Solution
Gaining traction. The Unifiers product managed the build of a custom AI algorithm engine to deliver store-specific, dynamic product recommendations to drive-thru customers. They launched to 150 stores in March 2020. Positive results led to deploying the recommendations to 3,200 stores by July 2020. The Unifiers took care of deployment, stabilization, and sustainment support to look out for any missteps.
Proven Impact
Ain’t no mountain high enough. The new drive-thru with AI-driven product recommendations delivered peak performance based on what sold well at a particular store, time of day, season, and the customer’s order. The work led to a monumental increase in the Average Order Value and a targeted increase of overall revenue of $12M in FY21. The team felt like they were on top of the world.
